Copenhagen Pride Parade

Copenhagen Pride Parade

Become a volunteer at the Copenhagen Pride Parade and help us create the biggest celebration of diversity in Denmark!

The Pride Parade is political activism in the form of a demonstration. It is a demonstration for acceptance and equal rights for gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, asexual, and queer people, whom we colloquially refer to as LGBTI+ individuals.

At the Copenhagen Pride Parade, we demonstrate for fundamental freedom and human rights, as well as it is a celebration of diversity. By diversity, we mean that the participants in the parade reflect the general diversity of society, including variations in age, ethnicity, gender identity, gender expression, religion, physical ability, and educational background. It is therefore a goal in itself that the space cultivated by Copenhagen Pride represents not just an individual group, but all of us. Everyone walking with us is demonstrating for the rights of all LGBTQIA+ individuals without exception.

The Pride Parade is about freedom, rights, and acceptance; about an understanding that we do not all look the same, and that we do not all think the same. The parade is also about respect for each individual's right to their own body, identity, way of expressing themselves, and sexuality. The goal is to create an inclusive, safe, and free space where we celebrate our diverse environment and insist on equal rights.
