Become a Volunteer at Copenhagen Photo Festival 2025

This year, Copenhagen Photo Festival is moving into the heart of Copenhagen – specifically The Royal Danish Theatre’s Old Stage, which will serve as the vibrant festival center. Here, you can help create a unique atmosphere around photography, art, and community as we open the doors to audiences and artists from around the world.

As a volunteer, you’ll be an essential part of the experience we create for our visitors. You'll be involved when we exhibit works by our headliner Martin Parr, four selected solo artists, and a curated Selectees-group. The exhibitions revolve around this year’s theme “Fremkaldelse – Into The Light,” and the Royal Theatre will also host talks, guided tours, and other events.

This year, the festival will take place at three different locations, each with its own unique character and ambiance. This location – the Royal Theater – is the main venue and gathering point of the festival. You can read more about the other locations in their respective event descriptions on the portal.

As a volunteer at our Festival Center, you may be assigned tasks such as:

• Production assistant (setting up and taking down exhibitions and festival decor)
• Host at info desk, ticket sales, and merchandise
• Exhibition and event host in the theatre’s beautiful spaces
